Our History
Founded in 1967, Auburn University at Montgomery provides personalized education that appeals to local students while embracing our status as a university of the world. We have grown from humble beginnings as a small college, becoming the destination for students in Alabama and across the United States. We’re comprised of five colleges — Business, Sciences, Education, Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and Nursing and Health Sciences — and offer 20+ online degree programs.
AUM Today
Located in Montgomery, Alabama, AUM’s welcoming campus spans 530 acres, including 129 acres of greenspace with wooded walking trails. We have a close-knit student community and compete in various NCAA Division II sports, including baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, and tennis.
