How to Apply

To get started, create an account in AUM’s online system and fill out the university application. Some programs may require a programmatic application, which you will complete upon acceptance to the university.

Each online degree program at AUM has individual admissions requirements. Review what you’ll need for your online program or call 800-316-7592 if you have questions.

Admission to AUM includes providing the official transcripts for each educational institution you have attended. Requesting them shortly after you apply can make for a smooth admissions process.

Transfer Your Credits to AUM

Auburn University at Montgomery welcomes students with previous college experience — and feels you should get credit for your past accomplishments. That’s why we offer generous transfer credit opportunities for each of our online degree programs.

To reduce the time and costs required to earn your degree online, many of AUM’s programs offer the following transfer credit options:

Bachelor’s ProgramsMaster’s and Post-Master’s Programs
  • Up to 50% of the required credit hours if you transfer from a two-year institution
  • Up to 75% of the required credit hours if you transfer from a four-year institution; students must complete a minimum of 25% of credit hours at AUM
  • Up to 25% of the required credit hours; alternatively, graduate students are allowed 12 hours to use toward transfer credits, transient credits, or repeat-to-replace credits
