AUM offers a simple admissions process for students wanting to attain their Master of Business Administration online. You can apply anytime to begin pursuing your master’s degree on your preferred schedule, and there is no GMAT requirement for students with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0.

Degree and Minimum GPA
  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree awarded by an appropriately accredited four-year college or university or higher.
  • Full admission requires an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. A student with a GPA between 2.75 and 2.99 can be admitted probationally, conditioned on earning a 3.0 GPA during their first 12 hours in the program.
TranscriptsOfficial transcripts of all completed coursework from your previous college experience.
Additional RequirementsGMAT test scores are not required as long as a student’s undergraduate GPA is 2.75 or higher. The committee will also take into account the GPA of the student’s last 60 hours if that is higher than the student’s overall GPA.

Dr. Foster Roberts

Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Foster Roberts, Associate Professor of Management

Dr. Foster Roberts is an associate professor of management at Auburn University at Montgomery. Prior to joining this university, he was an assistant professor at Southeast Missouri State University. He has a PhD in Management from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from AUM. Dr. Roberts is experienced in teaching in the areas of strategic analysis, business strategy, business ethics, small business management, entrepreneurship, and organizational behavior.

Dr. Roberts’ research interests include social innovation, leadership, team dynamics, and management history. He has published in high-quality outlets such as the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Management Decision, Business Horizons, and Journal of Management Education. In addition, he has presented research at the Academy of Management, Southern Management Association, and North American Management Society.

Dr. Roberts is an active member of the academic community. He serves as the Program Chair for the North American Management Society, a division of MBAA International. He also served on the executive committee of the Management History division of the Academy of Management from 2013 to 2020 as a Junior Faculty Representative.
