Dr. Evan Moore
Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Evan Moore, Professor of Economics
Dr. Evan Moore’s research has been published in prestigious journals, including the American Economic Review, International Journal of Financial Studies, International Review of Economics Education, and Southwestern Economic Review. He has served as head of the Department of Economics and the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs for the College of Business, overseeing AACSB reaccreditation efforts for the college’s graduate programs.
Moore also coordinated the Economics Forum through AUM, bringing prominent economists and business and political leaders to Montgomery. He has served as a reviewer for several economics journals, such as Econometrics, American Economic Review, Southern Economic Journal, and Atlantic Economic Journal.
Moore’s research interests include industrial organization, sports gambling, experimental economics, and economics pedagogy. He earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his bachelor’s degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses with interests in microeconomics, industrial organization, mathematical economics, and managerial economics.
