How to Begin Your Online RN to BSN Program

AUM offers a simple admissions process to registered nurses interested in earning their Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Our online RN to BSN program has no application fee, and you can apply to AUM anytime. You can also transfer credits from your associate program to earn your bachelor’s in nursing in as little as one year.

Degree and Minimum GPA
  • Unconditional admission: Associate degree in nursing with a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Conditional admission: Associate degree in nursing with a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Prerequisite Courses
  • Unconditional admission: No more than three outstanding prerequisites and the completion of a Literature or History sequence, core math, and English Composition II
  • Conditional admission: Must complete four or more outstanding prerequisites
Additional Requirements
  • In addition to the AUM application, you’ll complete a programmatic application after acceptance to the program
  • Active, unencumbered RN license (for anywhere in the U.S.)
  • A grade of C or higher for all courses
Transfer Credits You can transfer credits from a two-year college to meet up to 50% of the credit requirements. There is no limit to the number of credits you may transfer from a four-year college, but you must complete at least 25% of the credit requirements at AUM. Request information to learn more.

Wendy DuBose

Dr. Wendy DuBose

Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Wendy DuBose, RN to BSN Program Coordinator

Dr. DuBose began her career as an Associate of Science in Nursing degree graduate in 1986. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at AUM, she continued her education at Auburn University/AUM, earning a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Her MSN program was a dual-track program with a Clinical Nurse Specialist (advanced practice) track and a Nurse Educator track.

Dr. DuBose earned a Doctor of Education in Instructional Leadership with Specialization in Nursing Education from the University of Alabama. Her background includes work in coronary care units, cardiovascular intensive care, and cardiac rehabilitation. Dr. DuBose also held a certification to administer conscious sedation in a digestive disorders center.

Dr. DuBose began her teaching career in 2009. In addition to being the RN to BSN Program Coordinator, Dr. DuBose is the MSN Nurse Educator Track Coordinator.
