Additional RequirementsThe prospective student must have full-time experience as a certified clinical/medical laboratory technician or training and full-time experience in a military medical laboratory, meeting one of these requirements:
  • Currently hold national certification as an MLT
  • Completed an accredited MLT program
  • Completed a military training program in laboratory science
  • Hold a college degree in a science-related field and currently work as an MT/MLT in a medical laboratory
Transfer CreditsTransfer up to 50% of the credit requirements from a two-year program or up to 75% from a four-year program. Request information to learn more.

Kathryn Dugan

Faculty Spotlight: Kathryn Dugan

Kathryn Dugan is the department chair and program director for the AUM Medical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences department. She is also a tenured assistant professor at AUM.

Dugan completed her bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in medical technology and her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in biology from AUM. She is an ASCP board-certified Medical Laboratory Scientist and a member of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. She teaches the Clinical Chemistry series and Lab Management and Education in the online program.
